Frequently asked questions
Each package comes with a curated mix of beautiful orange, white, pie, and specialty colored pumpkins and gourds in a variety of sizes. Larger packages include hay bales and mums in seasonal colors.
As professional pumpkin designers, we do all the curating, cleaning, delivery, and set up. We do all the heavy lifting. We leave you with a gorgeous display that is the perfect backdrop for all your seasonal photos. You can also set up a time for us to come and take the display down at the end of the season, for a fee.
If you’re a decorating DIYer, yes, you are welcome to do the display yourself, just let us know at any time up to delivery.
At Positively Pumpkins, we do our best to procure as many of our pumpkins as possible from local farmers. This helps our local economy and keeps our farmers in the fields they love. Occasionally, we need to get pumpkins from other states, but it’s rare.
At Positively Pumpkins, we understand the value of pumpkins, even as they begin to age. Pumpkin is a great source of vitamins and minerals for animals, so we partner with local pig farmers and drop the pumpkins off for their second life. You are always more than welcome to keep a few to bake for your own pets (pumpkin is great for dogs!). We recommend keeping the pie pumpkins for pets. Straw bales go to local farmers who use them for straw gardening.
Our delivery fees are calculated based on how far your location is from our pumpkin storage facility. We are always upfront about any extra charge and you will see pricing before you check out.
No. We can deliver and set up while you’re gone. As soon as we are done, we will take a photo and text it to you so you can see the display.
All of our pumpkins and gourds are fresh off the farm. We clean them prior to delivery to remove any bacteria or bugs, which extends their life. Most of our displays last between 6-8 weeks, although this can vary due to the amount of sunlight and weather they are exposed to. Pumpkins tend to last longer in shade and with good air flow. To keep neighborhood critters from being attracted to the pumpkins, we recommend sprinkling cinnamon or cayenne pepper around the display or spraying with a mix of 50/50 water and white vinegar.
We always use fresh pumpkins so this is rare, but if it happens that one of your pumpkins goes bad, we suggest disposing of it immediately.
We do our best to accommodate last minute changes, but ask for at least a 24 hour notice, if possible. Due to the nature of our business and to cut down on waste, all sales are final.
